A few weeks ago, Corey and I decided that for every book we read (together or separate), I will design one of the best quotes from the book. Our plan is to decorate our future children's rooms with quotes from books in order to brain wash them into a love for reading. Or to help turn them into little book worms. Cross our fingers it will work.
Recently, I downloaded a free audio book of Anne of Green Gables not really knowing what to expect. As I drove to and from work every day, I would listen to the wit and charm of this vivacious red-headed little girl. I fell in love with the books and with Anne Shirley. After finishing 3 of the books in the series, I had a long list of favorite quotes, but "Life isn't worth living without puffed sleeves" took the cake. So, here we go on this literary design journey-- quote #1 done! With how much Corey reads, I will probably be designing book quotes for the rest of my life. But that makes me slightly excited.
